A couple days ago, Sophie started her first job outside the home. She's been making and selling dreadlocks around the world since she was 15-years-old, has translated films from English-to-French and has worked for a film festival for the past two years.
Sophie is now a dual enrolled student which means she's taking her last year of high school credits at the local college. This allows her to build college credit for free while still being enrolled in high school. Therefore, she needs a job that fits in with her classes and will still give her time to work on her other businesses.
Sophie has found hostessing. She went out looking for a job at the local restaurants. A couple hours and four restaurants later she came back employed. She loves having a job, like her co-workers and the tips... and her feet are in constant pain from the heels. I can't help but laugh as I remember those days. She, on the other hand, is rather concerned her toes are turning blue and will fall off in the near future. Nonetheless, the social butterfly is happily employed with her low income, menial labor job that gives her a sense of freedom, agony, and fits into her summer class schedule all at the same time!
